It really serves the 'twisted fairy tale' trope well.

Now there is a dignified plot, but I won't give away any more spoilers. Very heavy and consistent with the themes of: making a choice and sticking with it, following and making your own path, keeping a cool head and calm composure, question the system, write your own rules while respecting others, commitment, and having confidence/pride in yourself.

A new spin on an old classic trope: Kidnap the princess, Fight the Dragon.Except this time it's the Princess takes matters into her own hands and actually wishes to stay with the dragons because she is tired of her own world's politics and ordinary lifestyle! This book doesn't have one strong female lead, it has two! Well-Written and paced with charming, sassy humor- Patricia Wrede really delivers in making her own original story that is truly one of its own.
